Shape the Science Behind Every Perfect Smile.
The bachelor’s program in dental laboratory technician at ALDENT University prepares highly qualified professionals to meet the demanding functional and aesthetic standards of modern dentistry. Graduates gain the knowledge and skills to design, manufacture, and restore dental prosthetics by combining scientific understanding, technical precision, and advanced digital technologies. Through an intensive three-year curriculum, students develop strong manual dexterity, refined aesthetic judgment, and advanced digital competencies. This equips them to meet contemporary laboratory standards and collaborate effectively and precisely with dentists. |

About The Program
The bachelor’s program of dental laboratory technician is designed to prepare qualified dental technicians capable of performing fixed and removable restorations with high aesthetic and functional standards. Students gain in-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, dental materials, occlusion, the latest technology in fixed and removable prosthetics, removable orthodontic appliances, and CAD/CAM systems. The program combines theoretical learning with intensive laboratory practice, enabling students to develop precise manual skills and digital competencies in the design of prosthetic and orthodontic works. During the three years of study, students are trained in the realization of single metal-porcelain and zirconium crowns, metal-porcelain and zirconium bridges, full ceramic crowns, E-max veneers, telescopic crowns, complete and partial dentures, retainers, and removable orthodontic appliances as well as in the use of scanners and 3D printers. Emphasis is placed on effective collaboration with the dentist and on respecting European standards and laboratory safety. |
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Have knowledge in modern methods and prosthetic dental technology.
- Design, plan, and fabricate fixed and removable prosthetic restorations in accordance with clinical prescriptions and professional standards.
- Apply contemporary digital technologies (CAD/CAM systems, intraoral and laboratory scanners, and 3D printing) in the design and production of high-precision prosthetic restorations.
- Select and manipulate dental materials (metal alloys, ceramics, polymers, and composite materials) ensuring safety, durability, and optimal aesthetic performance.
- Integrate knowledge of dental morphology, occlusion, and biomechanics in the fabrication of functionally stable and biologically compatible restorations.
- Design and fabricate removable orthodontic appliances (active and passive), applying biomechanical principles and ensuring precise adaptation.
- Collaborate effectively with dentists and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the planning and execution of complex prosthetic and orthodontic treatments.
